We are seeking an experienced Private Family Housekeeper / Nanny for a private family based in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

This is a long-term position for a candidate wishing to become a trusted part of the family’s life, ideally for several years. The family values stability, mutual respect, clear communication, flexibility on both sides, and a respectful working environment.

The family has three children aged 5½, 4, and 1½. During school term, the children attend school / preschool / daycare during the day. A Spanish-speaking au pair is already part of the household and supports the children’s daily routine.

The role is suited to an organised, warm, professional and flexible candidate, able to support the smooth daily running of the home while also being comfortable around young children.

Main duties:

• light housekeeping and household organisation;

• laundry, ironing and wardrobe care;

• preparation of simple, healthy and balanced meals for the whole family;

• keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised;

• childcare support when required, in collaboration with the parents and the au pair;

• occasional sole charge of the three children for short, planned periods, when required.

Deep cleaning is handled separately by professional cleaners once a week.

Conditions:

• long-term position based in Ljubljana, Slovenia;

• 40 to 45 hours per week;

• 5 working days per week, with 2 consecutive days off;

• accommodation included: two-bedroom apartment shared with the au pair, shared bathroom;

• occasional travel with the family, with work-related expenses covered;

• possible future relocation to Abu Dhabi, not expected within the next year;

• start date to be agreed, depending on the selected candidate’s profile and the family’s availability;

• employment structure to be discussed depending on the candidate’s profile and situation;

• salary: €4,000 to €4,500 net per month, depending on profile and experience.

Profile sought:

Reliable, discreet, well-organised, warm, positive and flexible candidate, with solid experience in private households, comfortable around young children, able to prepare simple, healthy family meals and support the daily organisation of a home.

Fluent English is essential. Right to work in the European Union is required. Recent and verifiable references are required.
